Matthew Messina, DDS, graduated first in his class from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1987. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. A practicing general dentist for more than 30 years, he has also served as a visiting faculty member at the Pankey Institute for advanced dental education in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Dr. Messina is recognized nationally for his presentations and publications on issues related to dental ethics, as well as his lectures on leadership skills that allow dentists to provide optimal care for their patients. He is currently a consumer advisor for the American Dental Association, serving as a national spokesperson since 1995. Throughout his career, he has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America program and he has been interviewed on CNN and National Public Radio. He has also provided comments on dental health and related subjects for USA TODAY, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Web MD, and Prevention Magazine.

Colleen Cornelius, DDS, graduated from Northwestern University’s Dental School in 1999. Following graduation, she practiced general dentistry for 14 years as the co-owner of a private practice in Utah, where she cared for pediatric and adult dental patients.

As an Assistant Professor-Practice in the College of Dentistry’s Division of General Practice and Materials Science, Dr. Cornelius provides pre-clinical, classroom, and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral students, while also serving as the Associate Director of OSU Upper Arlington Dentistry. In that role, she offers general dentistry services and works with the clinic’s professional and support staff to ensure the timely and appropriate inter-professional care of patients.

A graduate of Ohio State’s Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree program, Maggie has served as a dental hygienist for Columbia Healthy Smiles, Clintonville General Dentistry, and Meyers Family Dental. As the clinic’s dental hygienist, Maggie works directly with patients by providing both routine oral health checkups and comprehensive periodontal therapy, reviewing patients’ oral health histories, teaching appropriate brushing and flossing techniques, cleaning patients’ teeth, and making radiographic (X-ray) images of the teeth for the dentist's analysis.

Ms. Miller began working at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2013 as an Information Associate in the Comprehensive Care Clinics. In addition to providing clinical support to students in the hygiene and dental programs, she also assisted faculty and staff. She most recently served as the Lead of Patient Registration and Records. The experience gained from the various assignments at the College of Dentistry provide a solid foundation for Erin’s role as Office Associate at Ohio State Upper Arlington Dentistry.
