Dr. Xi Chen earned his specialty degree in Geriatric Dentistry before completing his PhD in Health Informatics. His clinical focus is on dental care for older adults with complex medical histories. Dr. Chen’s research has been well supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2012, and he has receive two R21 awards for his innovative research.

Dr. Matthew Messina graduated first in his class at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and was trained in hospital dentistry at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Messina has over 30 years of private practice experience in restorative dentistry. His focus is to minimize the risks of dental treatment for those patients who have undergone radiation treatment and/or bisphosphonate drug therapy.
